I tought about this recently and I have seen post like this in previous shard. We could make that blackrock dispel but dont drop mana to 0, instead of this we could create a new weapon that only drop mana to 0. or maybe make a item that immune to the mana drop.

If blackrock dont make mana 0 , gonna be REALLY good to PP's, no? And hard to mages train Medit... I dont know, but maybe that can unbalance the classes... And leeche's weapons drain mana, so its almost the same the second idea.

Why should it be good for warrior and not for PP and for meditation train I didnt use BR to raise it and im at 140 so both of your argument are worthless. My point is not that when you equip it it drop your mana to 0 its when you get hit by BR.

of blackrock = dispel of mind illness = drop mana to 0. of fortify mind = protect against mind illness.

a few reasons.
1. gives advantage to mage/pp, now a warrior or ranger has to use a few different kinds of weaps to neutralize casting, (with are effect necro/earth spells this gives too much advantage).
2. If brock doesnt take your mana then you can tele around shooting brock...the point of using a brock is that you cant cast once u equip with it...now you are saying that u should be able to cast and use brock...which i think is overpowered.

I failed to explain it clearly. I meant the wielder will lose his mana, but the target will not loose mana when hit.

In my opinion, we shouldn't change gameplay by addind new classes, new weapons, new effects or anything. Instead we should try to balance what we already have. This is zuluhotel style.
Blackrock is meant to dispel + drop mana when you are getting damaged by it. So no need to change that. For the suggestion, some alternative would be to create new weapons if everyone agree. But again and it's only my opinion, adding new items may change the gameplay and I doubt it's a good idea.
Ravage, your suggestion isn't bad, it forces us to think about advantages and disadvantages. In this case, I have serious doubts if it's a good idea.
